What if gift wrap could do more than just cover presents? What if it could add a playful layer of meaning and humor? That’s how this concept came to be.
I chose two phrases—"Caution: May cause happiness" and "Unwrap at your own risk"—as the basis for my final project in the lettering course (@u_0026). Initially, I planned to combine them into a single pattern but eventually decided to split them into two unique designs.
The phrase "Caution: May cause happiness" became the centerpiece of a mini collection of wrapping paper and furoshiki fabric called Happiness Inside. To add a playful touch, I broke the phrase into two parts—"Caution" and "May cause happiness"—and created a series of fun, cheeky ribbons to complement the design.
And "Unwrap at your own risk" evolved into another mini-collection, Open If You Dare.
